St. Luke's Children's Trach and Vent Clinic

St. Luke’s Children’s Trach and Vent Clinic brings a team of specialists together to care for children with a tracheostomy, as well as those that are ventilator-dependent. Experts in pulmonology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, gastroenterology, respiratory therapy, nutrition, and care coordination collaborate with a goal to safely and seamlessly transition your child from the hospital to your home. Every patient has unique health care needs and our team partners with each patient and family to improve delivery of complex care and quality of life.

We see patients every third Wednesday of the month.


  • Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine


    Erin M. Conlee, MD specializes in the rehabilitation and management of children with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and an array of musculoskeletal conditions. She has a particular interest in oncology-related impairments and conditions. 

    Dr. Conlee works to maximize quality of life and restore optimal functioning to patients through working with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and ancillary providers. She is passionate about caring for children and young adults, striving to meet needs across a variety of conditions and health care settings.

  • Pediatric Otolaryngology


    Jacob Robison, MD has clinical interest in pediatric airway disorders, hearing loss, obstructive sleep apnea, and recurrent infections of the ears, nose, sinus, and throat. He earned his medical degree and doctoral degree in environmental toxicology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

    Henry Thompson, MD specializes in pediatric gastroenterology and serves as the medical director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center of Idaho.

    Prior to his medical education, Dr. Thompson earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Lewis and Clark College. In his free time, he enjoys biking and all the outdoor activities Idaho has to offer.

  • Pediatric Pulmonology


    Benjamin M. Tippets DO, MPH has special interests in asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and children requiring home ventilation. In addition to the pediatric pulmonology clinic, he is involved in the multidisciplinary cystic fibrosis and tracheostomy and ventilator clinics, as well as outreach clinics in Fruitland and Twin Falls. He also participates with St Luke’s Sports Medicine and Justin Sports Medicine teams in providing arena-side care for rodeo performers.

    Prior to medical school, Dr. Tippets earned an associate’s degree in science from Rick’s College, a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Brigham Young University, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah.

    In his free time, Dr. Tippets enjoys farming, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and family, including desert motorbike riding.
