Peripheral Artery Disease Program

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a narrowing of blood vessels that can cause leg pain during walking, and can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and limb loss.

St. Luke's lifestyle medicine team provides a comprehensive program to treat PAD. We provide:

  • 12-week supervised exercise training
  • Education on modifying your lifestyle and reducing your risk factors
  • Onsite supervision by medical professionals and small group appointments with:
    • Registered dietitian
    • Respiratory therapist
    • Physical therapist
    • Occupational therapist
    • Licensed clinical social worker
    • Diabetes educator

Following a supervised exercise program can decrease your symptoms, reduce your risk factors, and improve your walking ability and your quality of life.
